  So, what is the purpose of education? Education is something we all must endure at some point and to some extent, but what is the actual purpose? Is it to impart knowledge that will feed the imagination and develop a desire to take learning to a deeper level? Is to create an army of workers that will drive the future of our economic climate? Or is it something else entirely? In this blog, I have taken Robin Alexander's submission to the House of Commons Education Committee Enquiry into the Quality and Purpose of Education in England “What is Education for”? and critically analysed its place in educational research.
